Pombrotho Academic has been built to support our whānau-driven curriculum, wānanga, and lifelong learning pathway delivered through our Hoea Ra service.
Our learning approach is called The Pombrotho Framework and was built for Tangata Whenua disassociated from their culture, cutoms and heritage through systematic decisions that have caused intergenerational systemic poverty, hardship, crime, homelessness and dependency on Social Services providers who are not equipped to facilitate assistance into Rangatiratanga and Mana Motuhake or uphold the Treaty of Waitangi.
The Pombrotho Framework brings together our whānau names, values, standards, cultural responsibilities, and commitment to rangatiratanga, mana motuhake, and education.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a living constitutional foundation of Aotearoa. It is not background history, and it is not up for debate within this kaupapa. Pombrotho Academic recognises Te Tiriti as central to rangatiratanga, whakapapa, law, education, and the responsibilities between tangata whenua and the Crown.
We support our ākonga to learn through lived experience, structured study, whānau knowledge, tikanga, te reo Māori, whakapapa, history, law, creativity, wellbeing, and practical life skills.
The Pombrotho Way: whānau-led, culturally grounded, Treaty-aligned, and future-focused learning.
We offer whanau-focused advice and assistance with advocacy for Kura Kainga applications built to empower Rangatahi to reach their goals, dreams and aspirations.
